KUZI Project Revealed

We are pleased to continue support between Glide Paddleboards and Seth Warren and Kirk Hollis.  Here at Glide we couldn’t be more excited to send the boys out on another out on another great African Expedition Paddleboard Expedition.

For the past months we have been fine-tuning special down wind boards that will carry the boys on a 500 mile downwinder SUP up the East Coast of Africa from Pemba, Mozambique to Zanzibar, Tanzania utilizing the KUZI tradewind.

From the amazing blue water of the Indian Ocean, the un-inhabited islands of the Quirimbas Archipelago and the amazing coastline of East Africa the boys will set out in July for a the self-supported Stand Up Paddleboarding and Kiteboarding Adventure of a lifetime.

A definite highlight of the trip with be right out of the gates in Northern Mozambique!

It seems like a fairy tale to go SUPing and Kiting here!

Working with Glide's head designer Ken Driscoll he had to create a downwind paddleboard that would not only fly in the open ocean be stable enough to carry everything needed for the trip. The boys will carry everything they need for filming, kiting, camping and fishing on the paddleboards making this the longest self supported SUP adventure to date.

The boys had to be prepared to handle any condition thrown at them.  This lead to a special some pretty special and unique paddleboard design criteria. Has to be a epic downwind paddleboard, it has to hold a months worth of supply's, it has to be able to handle storms, and it has to be fun to paddle!

After months of work, we did it.

Keep following on the Glide blog and hit up www.elementsmixedmedia.com to follow along! Much more to come from this epic undertaking.
